Two ancient chromolithographs depicting “ The most important Orders “.We can see images of 65 orders and medals from all around the world, mostly European but also African or Asian.The larger chromolithograph is 12.1 x 9,8 inches ( vertical centrefold ), the smaller one is 6.2 x 9.8 inches.The lithographs are from 1898. Austrian bass Emil Scaria (1838 - 1886) made his début (1860) in Budapest as Saint-Bris (Les Huguenots). He made appearances in Dessau, Leipzig, and Dresden.In 1863 he appeared with the Leipzig Opera; in 1864 he was working in Dresden. He was engaged by the Vienna State Opera in 1872.From 1873 until his death Scaria was engaged at the Vienna Hofoper. While in London performing a Ring Cycle heAustrian Painter Olga Wisinger-Florian.
