Antique Chinese Brush Washer and Spoon. Porcelain

Lovely old, white porcelain brush washer, actually a water dipper with spoon to add water on the ink stone for grinding the ink. It is in shape of a toad.There is a red wax seal at the bottom, stating that it is antique. It has been certified by a Chinese authority in the 1970s.Size; 2,5 x 1,4 x 1 inches.

Beautiful, Chinese Agate snuff-bottle with Jade stopper and spoon.2,2 x 4 x 1,2 inches. 224 gram.The snuff-bottle is app. 100 years old, the stopper has been added laterNice structure of the stone, somehow resembling a landscape. Very fine condition.

Austrian bass Emil Scaria (1838 - 1886) made his début (1860) in Budapest as Saint-Bris (Les Huguenots). He made appearances in Dessau, Leipzig, and Dresden.In 1863 he appeared with the Leipzig Opera; in 1864 he was working in Dresden.
