Funny Postcard: Discovery of North Pole. 1909

Scarce, funny vintage postcard. “To Commemorate the Discovery of the North Pole”. The postcard depicts 2 men, fixing the US flag at the North Pole. Polar bears are watching them, a lady sells hot drinks, warm train oil, reindeer milk and Northern light. A Zeppelin is approaching. Fine condition, used as postcard in Austria in 1909.

Old Chinese postcard (photograph) from app. 1920. It depicts a row of 3 sedan chairs, carried along a street. 5,1 x 3,3 inches. At the upper right corner is a bend, otherwise fine condition, unused. Sharp photo.

China 1904: Decorative Chinese seal with Foo-Lion as handle. Engraved are 4 characters as actual seal. Side engraving with details and name of seal carver. 1 x 1,2 x 3,9 inches (26 x 27 x 97 mm) Old stone with fissures at the upper part – no parts missing, no blemishes. The stone itself is most probably much older and has been carved as seal in 1904.

Charming studio photo from the photo studio Jobst in Wien. Mounted photo, depicting two sweet little girls and their doll. Size: 3.4 x 5.4 inches is the actual photo, 6.5 x 10 inches is the size of the photo including the backing. Slight toning of the backing, otherwise fine condition. The photo itself is in very fine condition.

Hawaii: Authentic, antique photograph from app. 1898. The photo depicts men, women, children and a dog, preparing for a banquet. One man holds a guitar. ( 8 x 5 in. some bleaching at the upper part). Thin paper, fixed on paper with small glue spots at he corners.

Nice old Chinese Jadeite box with decorative carving at top – 2 bats against floral background. The box contains 4 old brownish-red leisure seals with different carvings: Long living, master of the stones, the color of bamboo, water – river. The box is 2 x 2 x 1,9 inches, all in fine condition.
